Layne, an accomplished entrepreneur and software industry veteran has over twenty years of experience and expertise in the growth and leadership of numerous successful technology businesses.

As Vice President & General Manager for Messaging at Lotus Development, a division of IBM, he was responsible for all Lotus/IBM's messaging products including Notes, Domino, and cc:Mail. As Vice President & General Manager at Soft-Swith Inc., a privately held company acquired by Lotus, he led the software development, manufacturing and service delivery of high performance message switching systems. Prior to Soft-Switch, Layne served as founder and CEO of Computer Access Solftware, Inc., a privately held software developer acquired by US Sprint in 1988.
