VIENNA, VA, April 29, 2002 – Entigo™ Corporation, the pioneer and industry leader in B2B sell and service-side eBusiness solutions today announced the expansion of its Warranty Executive Breakfast Seminar Series, a program designed to bring together customers, prospects, industry leaders, analysts, and the media to uncover the issues, challenges, and value of Enterprise Service Management and specifically Collaborative Warranty Management. The nationwide events are being joint-hosted by Entigo and SAS Institute, the leader in business intelligence and data warehousing.
The Executive Breakfast Seminar Series is propelled by the success of Entigo's automotive-focused kick-off event held in Detroit MI, where Kevin Prouty, research director for automotive and heavy equipment at AMR Research, addressed over sixty key automotive industry business leaders on the issues surrounding the automation of aftermarket service and warranty management.
Guest speaker Michael R. Blumberg, Chief Operating Officer, D.F. Blumberg Associates, Inc, will present the "Strategic Approaches to Managing Warranty and Post Warranty Support." Mr. Blumberg, a recognized industry leader on managing service as a strategic profit center, has extensive experience in the development and implementation of advanced systems, tools, and technology to optimize the quality, efficiency, productivity and effectiveness of service operations.
"The state-of-the-art in Warranty Management Systems has evolved rapidly over the last half decade," explains Michael Blumberg. "Traditionally, Warranty Management applications have focused on batch processing of warranty claims and the functionality has been limited to the storage and retrieval of key information, from either legacy computer or paper-based filing systems, regarding the coverage and administration of warranty policies. The role of warranty and post warranty support service is neither well understood nor well managed in most industrial and commercial firms. If manufacturers are to remain competitive, they need to fully understand the strategic value of warranties and the requirements for the appropriate infrastructure to manage and, in fact, optimize warranty and post warranty support service."
"In what still appears to be a difficult economic climate, the registration and turnout at the automotive executive seminar makes it clear that this critical business function is high on people's list for automation," said Mark Demers, vp of marketing and business development at Entigo. "Entigo has long taken the lead in demonstrating business value through innovative warranty management solutions. With this nationwide Executive Breakfast series, we have the opportunity to not only share our vision and experiences but provide a forum for business leaders to gain valuable information on the issues, solutions, best practices and expected benefits of warranty management."
Other speakers include Bill Mueller, Director of Products at Entigo, on "Improving the Warranty Management Process" and Thomas Roehm, Director, SAS Manufacturing Practice, on "Making the Most of Warranty Data: Warranty Analysis Best Practices."
The Warranty Executive Breakfast will take place on May 9, 2002 from 7:30 am - 10:30 am, at the Chicago Marriott Schaumburg, 50 N Martingale Road, Schaumburg, IL. The Warranty Executive Breakfast Series will visit Rochester NY on June 11, 2002 and Boston MA on June 12, 2002. Other cities and dates to follow. Register online, or call 866-368-4466, ext. 3050.
